Police have launched an investigation following a report of a rape in Walthamstow Town Square during the early hours of Sunday morning.
Officers were called to the scene on Sunday, 29 June, where a woman reported being attacked. A crime scene has since been established in the area as detectives continue their enquiries.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed that investigations are ongoing and have appealed to the public for information.
A spokesperson said:
“We are in the early stages of our investigation and ask anyone with information, including those who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the Town Square area, to come forward as soon as possible.”
