In a swift response to an emergency call, the Kent Fire and Rescue Service rushed to the scene of a van ablaze on the A20 Coastbound in Folkestone.
The distress call received at 13:40 on Sunday afternoon, prompted the dispatch of two fire engines to the location. Upon arrival, firefighters swiftly donned breathing apparatus and employed specialized equipment, including a Compressed Air Foam System (CAFs), to combat the flames engulfing the van.
Thanks to the rapid intervention of the emergency responders, the fire was successfully extinguished within minutes, averting potential disaster on the busy roadway. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
