Police are urgently appealing for information to help locate 14-year-old Leighton Carr, who has been reported missing from Gateshead, Tyne & Wear.
Leighton was last seen on Friday, 2 May 2025, and there are growing concerns for his welfare.
He is described as wearing a black Under Armour cap with a white logo, a dark grey Berghaus puffer jacket, black tracksuit bottoms, a grey t-shirt, and black and grey Nike 95 trainers.
Northumbria Police are leading the search and are asking anyone with information, no matter how small, to come forward immediately. Officers have urged members of the public to call 101 quoting reference number NP-20250503-1124 if they have seen Leighton or know of his whereabouts.
A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said:
“We are extremely concerned for Leighton’s safety and well-being. If you have seen him or have any information that could assist our investigation, please contact us as a matter of urgency.
Support is also being provided by Missing Adults & Children in the UK and the Missing Persons Team (MPT), organisations that work tirelessly to reunite missing individuals with their loved ones.
