Northumbria Police have launched a public appeal to help trace 13-year-old Emily Rhodes, who has been reported missing from the Ashbrooke area of Sunderland.
Emily was last seen around 3:30pm on Sunday, April 20. Her disappearance has raised serious concern among both her family and local authorities, particularly given that she had previously been reported missing just two days earlier in the Ryhope area.
She is described as a white female, approximately 5ft 4ins tall, of medium build, with brown eyes and shoulder-length brown hair, which features distinctive blonde highlights at the front. At the time she was last seen, she was wearing a grey jumper, a black hooded bodywarmer, black leggings, and black trainers.
Police say Emily is known to travel to Newcastle and Durham city centres and frequently uses local public transport, suggesting she may be mobile and possibly moving between familiar areas.
Ongoing Investigation
Northumbria Police are conducting active enquiries to locate Emily and ensure her safety. Officers say they are increasingly concerned for her welfare and are urging the public to remain vigilant.
“We’re asking anyone who may have seen Emily or who might know where she is to please get in touch with us as soon as possible,” a police spokesperson said. “Any information, no matter how small, could be vital in helping us find her quickly and safely.”
