Lancashire Police are urgently seeking information on the whereabouts of Stephen Pennington, 35, who is wanted for failing to comply with his licence conditions and has been recalled to prison. Pennington, a registered sex offender, poses a significant risk to children and women.
Pennington’s criminal history includes a 2009 conviction for the rape of a child, and he was incarcerated again last year for breaches of a sexual harm prevention order and notification requirements. Described as a white male, slim, and approximately 6 feet tall, Pennington has short balding dark brown hair.
Detective Constable Stewart Marshall, from the Mosovo (Management of Sexual or Violent Offenders) Team at West Division, emphasises the urgency of the situation: “Pennington is a high-risk sex offender who presents a real risk to children and women, and I would appeal to anyone who sees him or knows where he could be to get in touch.”
Pennington has known links to Blackburn, Blackpool, and Wigan, making it crucial for the public across these areas to remain vigilant. Authorities urge anyone with information regarding Pennington’s current location to contact 01253 604019 or email [email protected].
In case of immediate sightings, the public is urged to call 999 to report any information that may aid in locating Pennington promptly.
