Two men have been taken to hospital after a violent altercation in Thomas Road, E14, on Tuesday night (March 11), police have confirmed.
Metropolitan Police officers were called to the scene at around 10:20pm, following reports of an altercation. Emergency services, including the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance, responded quickly and found two men in their 20s suffering from stab wounds.
Both victims were rushed to hospital, where they remain receiving treatment. Their current conditions have not yet been disclosed.
A 22-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH) and is currently in police custody as enquiries continue.
A Met Police spokesperson said:
“Police were called to Thomas Road, E14 at around 22:20hrs on Tuesday, 11 March to reports of an altercation.
Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance. Two men in their 20s were found at the scene with stab wounds. They were taken to hospital for treatment where they remain.
A 22-year-old man was arrested for grievous bodily harm. He remains in custody.

Police have not confirmed the nature of the incident or whether the victims and the suspect are known to each other.
Residents in the area reported a heavy emergency services presence late into the evening, and an investigation is now underway to determine the full circumstances surrounding the attack.
