Two people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision on the A2 near Gravesend on Wednesday evening, November 6, causing significant traffic delays. The crash occurred on the eastbound carriageway between the B262 and A227 just after 5 p.m.
Emergency services, including crews from the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb), responded to the scene, where they assessed and treated the injured. One of the individuals required additional medical care and was transported to Medway Maritime Hospital. The condition of the hospitalized patient has not been disclosed.
The incident led to severe congestion, with delays of approximately 45 minutes and traffic backing up nearly six miles. Following the removal of all closures, traffic returned to normal later in the evening.
A spokesperson for SECAmb confirmed, “Crews assessed and treated two patients at the scene. One patient was then conveyed to Medway Maritime Hospital for further medical treatment.”
Kent Police have been contacted for additional information regarding the circumstances of the collision.
