Two men have been arrested and a cache of drugs and weapons seized following a police pursuit through Dartford on Tuesday evening.
Officers on patrol were alerted to a suspicious vehicle in the Darenth Wood Road area at around 5.30pm on 25 March. After signalling for the car to stop, it failed to comply, leading to a short pursuit that ended in Bedford Road, where the suspect vehicle collided with a police car.
Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported in the collision, and two men were swiftly detained at the scene.
A subsequent search of the car uncovered a quantity of cannabis, cash, deal bags, mobile phones, and weapons including a hammer, chisel, and an extendable baton.
Arrests and Charges
A 30-year-old man from Swanley was arrested on suspicion of:
- Assault
- Going equipped for theft
- Possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs
- Criminal damage
- Multiple driving offences
A 27-year-old man from Dartford was arrested on suspicion of:
- Assault
- Possession of an offensive weapon
- Possession with intent to supply a Class B drug
- Going equipped for theft
Both men were taken into custody and have since been bailed while investigations continue.

Kent Police confirmed that enquiries remain ongoing and encouraged anyone with relevant information or dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident to come forward.
