A devastating incident unfolded in Bearsted near Maidstone on Saturday afternoon, claiming the lives of a man, woman, and their beloved dog as they were hit by a car. The tragic accident occurred at approximately 1:40 pm while they were walking along Thurnham Lane.
Kent Police reported that a black BMW X5 was involved in the collision, which resulted in immediate responses from police officers and the South East Coast Ambulance Service. Despite their best efforts, the man and woman, both in their 60s, as well as their faithful canine companion, were tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have confirmed that no arrests have been made in connection with the incident. Additionally, the driver of the BMW remained at the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
