Buses Face Detours and Scrapped Stops

Bus services won’t escape the gridlock. Depending on which section is closed, buses will be diverted through lengthy detours including Lower rock-wales/”>Rock Gardens, the seafront, Edward Street, or Queens Road. Regular stops near the Royal Pavilion will disappear, replaced by temporary stops at Castle Square and north of the war memorial – adding hassle for commuters.

Part of £10 Million Valley Gardens Revamp

This disruption is just the latest phase of the £10 million valley/”>valley/”>Valley Gardens 3 project. The makeover includes wider pavements, new cycle lanes, and revamped road layouts. While the notorious Aquarium roundabout is still awaiting demolition, the council promises the entire scheme will be ready by next summer.

“There will be overnight disruption for a couple of weeks,” admitted Councillor Trevor Muten. “We’re doing everything we can to get this finished quickly.”
