A man has tragically died following an incident involving an illegal motorbike in Tottenham, North London, on Saturday evening (June 28).
Emergency services, including London Ambulance Service paramedics, rushed to the scene, but despite their efforts, the man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
He has now been named locally as Randell
The collision took place on a Park View Road in Tottenham, where Randell was reported to have been riding an illegal motorbike without a helmet or protective clothing when the incident occurred.
His injuries were described as catastrophic after the machine he was riding hit a lampstand whilst he was carrying out a trick.
No Criminal Investigation
A collision investigation has been launched by Metropolitan Police traffic officers, but the incident is not being treated as criminal.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police confirmed:
“We have all the information we require and no criminal offence has been committed. There will be no public appeal for witnesses at this stage.”
Community Pays Tribute
Tributes have since poured in across social media and at the roadside where the incident took place. Friends and local residents have described as a “passionate rider and loyal friend.” Flowers and messages of condolence have been left at the scene.
One friend wrote:
“He lived life fast and full of energy. Rest in peace, Web.”
Ongoing Concerns Over Road Safety
This latest fatality has reignited concerns in the local community over the use of illegal bikes and the risks associated with unregulated street riding in parts of North London.
