Far-right activist Tommy Robinson, real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, has been arrested by British Transport Police (BTP) in connection with a serious assault at St Pancras International Station last month.
Officers detained the 42-year-old Bedfordshire man at Luton Airport shortly after 6.30pm on Monday evening after being alerted that he had boarded an incoming flight from Faro, Portugal.

The arrest follows an investigation into an incident on 28 July, where a man was assaulted in the concourse area of St Pancras station. Robinson had left the UK in the early hours of 29 July, reportedly flying to Tenerife, as police launched a manhunt to question him regarding the attack.
In a statement, British Transport Police said:
“Officers from BTP have tonight (4 August) arrested a 42-year-old man from Bedfordshire in connection to an assault at St Pancras station on 28 July.
“The arrest took place at Luton Airport shortly after 6.30pm, following notification that the man had boarded an incoming flight from Faro.
“He was arrested on suspicion of Grievous Bodily Harm (GBH) and will now be taken to custody for questioning.”
No further details about the assault victim or the nature of the injuries have been released at this stage.
Robinson, a prominent figure in far-right politics, has been involved in several legal disputes in recent years. He is expected to be interviewed by detectives as part of the ongoing investigation.
British Transport Police have urged witnesses or anyone with information about the St Pancras incident to come forward.
