Three men have been arrested on suspicion of drug offences after police stopped and searched their vehicle on Sunday afternoon in Devizes. The incident unfolded just after 1 p.m. on November 3, when an officer observed a vehicle driving erratically on Nursteed Road and proceeded to stop it on New Park Street.
Upon approaching the vehicle, officers detected a strong smell of cannabis, prompting a search. Inside, police found a substantial amount of cash, along with cannabis and a class-A substance. Following the vehicle search, officers also conducted searches at the suspects’ home addresses, where additional drug paraphernalia and small bags containing class B and class A drugs were seized.
Two men in their 20s were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B drugs. An 18-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B drugs, as well as for drug driving.
All three individuals have been released on bail while further investigations are conducted.
