This morning, authorities charged two men and one woman in connection with the murder of a 35-year-old man in Bolton. The suspects are as follows:
- Paul Simmons of Bradford Street, Bolton, is charged with murder.
- Jordan Downes who has no fixed abode, is charged with assisting an offender.
- Kelly Hughes also without a fixed abode, faces charges of obstructing police.
All three suspects have been remanded into custody and are scheduled to appear at Bolton Magistrates Court tomorrow (10 June). Additionally, a 40-year-old man who was arrested in connection with the incident has been released on bail pending further investigation.
The charges stem from an incident that occurred on Friday, 7 June 2024. Police responded to reports of a stabbing on Bradford Street in Bolton around 7.15pm.
Despite efforts to save him, the victim tragically succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
