Three burglary suspects have been detained after a police pursuit in Maidstone
At around 12.30am on Friday 11 May Kent Police officers, who were on patrol in the county town, became suspicious of a vehicle that was being driven in Wat Tyler Way, Maidstone. Following enquiries, officers were made aware that this vehicle had been reported stolen from a burglary in Kimberley Road, Gillingham. This vehicle, a Vauxhall Vectra, is then reported to have failed to stop when requested to do so and a pursuit was authorised. The pursuit came to an end in Royal Engineers Way following the successful and safe use of a stinger, which deflated the suspect vehicle’s tyres and brought the car to a stop. The following arrests were then made: · An 18-year-old man from Gravesend. ·. They all remain in custody as enquiries continue.
