The M1 in Bedfordshire is closed in both directions due to a serious collision involving a car and lorry between the slip roads at J11A. https://youtu.be/OGJ4HCIfZ_I   The southbound carriageway is closed southbound between Junction 12 (Toddington) and J11 (Dunstable) and the northbound is closed between Junction 11 and Junction 11A. Bedfordshire Police are leading the operation at scene and an Air Ambulance is in attendance.. Motorists are being diverted and southbound should follow the hollow circle symbol. Exit at J12 and turn right onto the B5120. Follow the B5120 southbound via Toddington to Houghton Regis. At the High Street take the 1st exit and travel east along the High Street and The Green. At the rbt with Park Road North take the 3rd exit to travel south on Park Road North. At the roundabout with the A505 take the 1st exit and travel east to re-join the M1 at J11.   5.29pm The M1 serious collision update: The northbound is now open, southbound carriageway at Junction 11 likely to remain close for s  number of hours after the drivers involved have received life changing injuries.
