A 14-year-old boy has tragically died following a serious collision in Stoke Gifford last week.
Leyton Coombs was riding his bicycle along Great Stoke Way on Tuesday, 18 March, when he was involved in a collision with a car at around 7:40pm. Emergency services responded swiftly, and Leyton was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
Despite the best efforts of medical staff, Leyton sadly passed away in hospital on Sunday, 23 March.
Avon and Somerset Police have extended their condolences to Leyton’s family, who are being supported by specially trained officers during this deeply difficult time.
The force has now launched an appeal for information to assist with their investigation.
“We’re appealing for witnesses or anyone with any footage that could be relevant to our investigation to contact us,” a police spokesperson said.
