A 17-year-old boy has been charged with two counts of attempted robbery and assault following incidents at a shop in Broadway, Sheerness, on Tuesday, 10 December 2024.
The teenage suspect is alleged to have entered the store twice on the same day, threatening shop workers and demanding cash from the till. On both occasions, staff and customers challenged the suspect, who fled the scene empty-handed.
Kent Police were called after the second attempt, and officers quickly located the suspect at a nearby address. He was arrested and later charged.
The teenager appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 12 December, and has been remanded in custody pending further proceedings.
