A teenage girl has been hospitalized following a collision involving a car in southeast London, prompting a swift response from emergency services.
The incident occurred on Lower Road on April 18, around 9:24 a.m., when police received reports of a crash involving a pedestrian and a car. Upon arrival at the scene, officers found the 15-year-old victim in need of immediate medical attention.
The London Ambulance Service deployed a team of responders, including an ambulance crew, an advanced paramedic, a medic in a fast response car, and an incident response officer. They provided on-site treatment for a head injury sustained by the teenager before transporting her to a major trauma centre hospital for further care.
As investigations into the circumstances surrounding the collision are ongoing, police have not yet provided an update on the girl’s condition. No arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson confirmed the incident, stating, “Police were called to Lower Road at 9:24 a.m. on Thursday, April 18, to reports of a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian and a car.” They added, “At this early stage, there is no condition update. There have been no arrests, enquiries are ongoing.”
Similarly, a London Ambulance Service spokesperson detailed their response, saying, “We were called at 9:19 a.m. on April 18 to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian on Lower Road.” They further explained, “We treated a teenager at the scene for a head injury before taking them to a major trauma centre.
