Eltham, Greater London – Oluwamayomikun Ishola, a 27-year-old man from Eltham, has been charged with drug-related offences following his arrest by plain-clothed police officers. The arrest took place in Gillingham on January 4 as part of an operation targeting suspected cocaine supply in the Medway area.
Ishola was taken into custody after being observed by plain-clothed officers while under surveillance for alleged cocaine supply activities. The officers witnessed him entering a vehicle on Mill Road, leading to his apprehension.
During the arrest, law enforcement seized £145 in cash. Additionally, a subsequent search at an address in London resulted in the discovery of crack cocaine deals and a mobile phone.
Oluwamayomikun Ishola, a resident of Westhorne Avenue, Eltham, now faces charges related to the supply of crack cocaine and heroin. The charges span from November 29, 2023, to January 4, 2024.
Ishola remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on January 5.
A spokesperson for Kent Police provided details of the arrest, stating, “A suspected county line dealer has been charged following his arrest by plain-clothes officers in Gillingham. Investigators targeting the supply of cocaine in Medway were on patrol on Thursday, January 4, 2024, when they saw a suspect get into a car in Mill Road.
“They stopped the vehicle and the occupant was detained. The constables seized £145 in cash and later recovered a quantity of crack cocaine deals plus a mobile phone from an address in London.
The spokesperson continued, “Oluwamayomikun Ishola, of Westhorne Avenue, Eltham, Greater London, was later charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine between November 29, 2023, and January 4, 2024, and being concerned in the supply of heroin between the same dates.
