A 28-year-old man has been charged in connection with a serious assault on the A2 near Canterbury, which left one man with life-changing injuries.
Emergency services were called to the London-bound carriageway of the A2, near the exit for the A28 at Wincheap, at around 5:40am on Saturday, 14 December 2024. It was reported that the occupants of a car were attacked by at least one person from another vehicle.
Two men were taken to the hospital, one of whom sustained serious injuries and continues to receive medical treatment.
As part of an ongoing investigation, two men were arrested in North London on Tuesday, 28 January 2025. Dawood Khan, 28, of Burnt Oak, North London, has been charged with attempted murder, causing grievous bodily harm with intent, and two counts of possession of an offensive weapon, relating to a wooden bat and an axe.
Khan is due to appear before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 30 January 2025. A second man, aged 27, who was also arrested, has been released on bail pending further investigation.
