A man has been charged with attempted murder following a serious assault in Margate that left a victim with critical head injuries.
Kent Police launched an investigation after a man in his 40s was discovered with serious head injuries at a property in Ethelbert Crescent during the morning of Sunday 9 March 2025. The victim was rushed to hospital, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
Following initial enquiries, officers arrested four men from the Margate area on suspicion of assault.
One of the suspects, Archie Rixon, 21, of Ethelbert Crescent, has since been charged with attempted murder. He is due to appear before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Friday 14 March.
The three other men, aged between 21 and 47, have been released on bail as the investigation continues.
Detectives are now appealing to the public for further information that could assist their enquiries.
