Stone Lodge School in Dartford has issued a statement to parents and guardians addressing concerns following an incident that took place during lunchtime on school grounds.
In an official email sent by Mr Barnett, the school sought to dispel rumours circulating among students and the wider community suggesting that a student was in possession of a knife during the incident. The school categorically denied these claims, stating:
“A rumour has circulated that a student in school had a knife, which is categorically not true.”
Physical Altercation Confirmed
The school confirmed that a “very small minority of students” were involved in a physical altercation, which staff are treating with the utmost seriousness. The letter added that the students involved will face appropriate disciplinary action, with the school not ruling out imposing the heaviest possible sanctions.
“We are treating their actions with the utmost seriousness and will be taking the necessary actions against this behaviour,” the message read.
Reassurance and Support for Parents
Stone Lodge School reassured parents that student safety remains a top priority, and encouraged anyone with questions or concerns to contact the school directly.
The incident has raised questions within the community, but the school’s swift communication aims to provide clarity and reassurance while disciplinary procedures are carried out.
