Stoke Air Ambulance has proudly announced Dr Lynne Baird MBE as its first official ambassador, recognising her extraordinary efforts to save lives across the UK.
Dr Baird is the founder of the Daniel Baird Foundation, a charity established in memory of her son, Daniel, who tragically lost his life to a fatal stabbing in 2017. Since then, she has been a tireless advocate for the installation of lifesaving bleed control kits in public spaces nationwide.
Her foundation has been instrumental in campaigning for greater public access to emergency bleed kits, working closely with police, fire services, MPs, and community organisations. These kits provide vital first-aid equipment that can be the difference between life and death in the event of catastrophic bleeding before paramedics arrive.
In announcing the appointment, Stoke Air Ambulance praised Dr Baird’s unwavering commitment and life-saving legacy.
“We are incredibly proud to welcome Dr Lynne Baird MBE as our first official Stoke Air Ambulance Ambassador. Lynne’s work through the Daniel Baird Foundation has already made a tremendous impact in communities across the UK, and we are honoured to have her support as we continue our mission to provide urgent critical care.”
Dr Baird said she was humbled by the appointment and eager to support the air ambulance’s life-saving work.
“I’m honoured to join Stoke Air Ambulance as an ambassador. I’ve seen first-hand how crucial timely emergency response and equipment can be. Together, we can continue to raise awareness, expand access to bleed kits, and ultimately save lives.”
The partnership marks a powerful step forward in raising awareness around bleed control and strengthening community resilience in emergency situations.
