Devon & Cornwall Police in Torpoint responded to a concerning incident earlier today, around 11:30, following a report that three individuals had sustained stab wounds at a property in the area.
The victims of this distressing event include a teenage boy and a man in his 70s, both of whom sustained serious injuries. Promptly, they were transported to the hospital for medical attention. Thankfully, their injuries are currently not believed to be life-threatening. Additionally, a woman in her 60s sustained injuries but did not necessitate hospital treatment.
In a significant development, a 20-year-old man from Torpoint has been taken into police custody on suspicion of three counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
Detective Inspector Ian Jolliff, who is overseeing the investigation, provided insight into the incident, stating, “All parties involved are believed to be acquainted with each other, and we are treating this as a contained and isolated incident. We are not seeking anyone else in connection to this matter.”
