Six fire engines and an aerial ladder platform were scrambled to combat a major blaze that erupted at a £2.2 million residential property on Tuesday evening 11th March 2025
Fire crews were called to the scene on Schubert Road in the SW15 area shortly after 8:30pm, following reports of a large-scale fire at the upscale address.
A substantial number of firefighters worked tirelessly as thick plumes of smoke rising into the sky from the three storey property.
Crews fought the inferno from both ground level and the second floor in a coordinated effort to contain the fire using hose reels.
The cause of the blaze remains unknown and is currently under investigation. Firefighters remain at the scene to dampen any remaining hotspots and ensure the area was fully secure.
A fire service spokesperson on scene said: “Crews responded quickly to a significant fire at a residential property. The incident was brought under control with the use of six fire engines and specialist equipment. Thankfully, there are no reports of injuries at this time.”
A safety cordon has been erected around the property while fire investigators carry out their inquiries. The full extent of the damage is not yet confirmed.
Residents of the quiet residential street gathered outside their homes as the emergency services tackled the blaze, with many expressing concern and shock over the scale of the incident.
Authorities are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the early stages of the fire or has any relevant information to contact the fire service.
Further updates will follow as the investigation progresses.
