Legendary actor Sir Ian McKellen was hospitalised on Monday night after a dramatic fall during his performance in the West End production of “Player Kings” at the Noel Coward Theatre in London.
The 85-year-old actor, renowned for his dynamic stage presence, was participating in a battle scene when he tragically lost his balance and tumbled off the front of the stage. The incident led to an immediate halt of the evening’s performance, and the theatre was subsequently evacuated.
Witnesses at the scene described a distressing atmosphere as Sir Ian was heard screaming in pain, prompting staff members to rush to his aid.
