The thug also faces an extra four years on licence once he’s out.
Violent Rampage at Weatherley’s Home
The nightmare wales/Beganbegan/”>began on June 29, around midday, when police responded to a disturbance at Weatherley’s house. While officers were aiding a woman, Weatherley stormed Backback, erupting in rage and abuse.
Attempts to calm him failed. He resisted arrest and launched a savage attack on two female officers.
Police Officers Brutally Beaten
- Weatherley knocked one officer unconscious with a punch to the head.
- He then repeatedly punched and kicked a second officer, leaving her unconscious on the floor.
- Returning to the first officer, he continued the assault while hurling vile insults.
- He even boasted he’d be worse on male officers.
Backup arrived just in time to wrestle Weatherley into custody. Both officers suffered serious injuries—one with multiple facial fractures, the other with a broken nose and wounds.
Unrepentant and Defiant
Locked up, Weatherley’s rage didn’t cool. He was so violent he had to be interviewed through his cell door. He threatened and insulted police, admitting he thought they “deserved it” and vowed to do it again.
Weatherley pleaded guilty to two counts of grievous bodily harm with intent on July 29.
