Two men have been charged with a total of 13 offences following their arrest during a proactive neighbourhood operation conducted by plain-clothed officers in Sheffield
Officers from the Broomhall and Walkley local policing teams collaborated on the operation, which took place on the evening of Wednesday, January 24, as part of the Neighbourhood Policing Week of Action. The operation unfolded in Exeter Drive, resulting in the apprehension of two individuals who were subsequently brought into custody.
Hassan Mohammad, 23, residing on Edward Street, Sheffield, faces a comprehensive list of charges, including possession of a firearm and ammunition, possessing a knife blade in a public place, possession with intent to supply heroin and cocaine, and possession of criminal property.
Abdulrahman Yafooz, 26, residing on Mount Street, Sheffield, has been charged with seven offences, including possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, being concerned in the supply of cocaine, possession of a knife blade in a public place, and three counts of possessing criminal property.
Both Mohammad and Yafooz appeared before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on January 26, where they were remanded in custody. Their next court appearance is scheduled for February 23, 2024, at Sheffield Crown Court.
