In the early hours of Saturday morning, Kent Fire and Rescue Service swiftly responded to reports of a shed engulfed in flames in Rainham, Gillingham.
Upon receiving the distress call, two fire engines were dispatched to the scene, equipped with personnel protective equipment including breathing apparatus and firefighting gear, including high-pressure hose reel jets.
Firefighters worked diligently to contain and extinguish the blaze, which threatened nearby structures. Despite the intensity of the fire, their swift actions prevented its spread, limiting the damage to the shed.
Fortunately, there were no reported injuries as a result of the incident, and firefighters successfully brought the situation under control.
At present, the cause of the fire remains unknown, and investigations are underway to determine its origin.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service commends the prompt response of its personnel and reminds residents to remain vigilant regarding fire safety measures, particularly during the warmer months when the risk of fires may increase.
