Serious two vehicle collision closed A31 in both directions

The A31 in Dorset is closed in both directions between the B3078 and the A350 due to a serious collision involving two vehicles. All emergency services including Dorset Police are in attendance. Traffic heading westbound is being diverted via the hollow square diversion symbol. Exit the A31 at Merely roundabout (with the A341) and take the first exit onto the A341. Continue southbound until the traffic light controlled crossroads with Cabot Lane and Hatch Pond Lane. Turn right and head westbound onto Cabot Lane. Follow until the next T-junction. Turn right and head northbound on the A350. At the first roundabout take the first exit and head westbound on the A35. Continue to the roundabout with the A350 and take the third exit and continue northbound on the A350. Continue until the roundabout with the A31, to then take the first exit and rejoin the A31. Traffic heading eastbound is being diverted via the hollow circle diversion symbol, following the above route in reverse.
