Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision that occurred on the B3296 Meaver Road in Mullion on the morning of Monday, 14 October.
Officers were called to the scene at approximately 8:40 a.m. after reports of a collision involving a silver Vauxhall Astra and a double-decker school bus.
As a result of the collision, the two occupants of the Vauxhall—a woman in her thirties and a young male child—sustained life-threatening injuries. They are currently receiving treatment in hospital, and their next of kin have been informed. Four children who were travelling on the school bus sustained minor injuries and have also received treatment.
Police officers from the Roads Policing Team have been investigating the incident and would like to thank the public for their patience during the road closures. Authorities are also working closely with the school to ensure appropriate support is available for the children involved.
