A serious collision involving a motorcycle has prompted the closure of the A21 in both directions near Battle. The incident occurred between the A28 Baldslow and the A2100 Johns Cross.
Sussex Roads Police are currently on the scene and are set to conduct a comprehensive Accident Investigation.
Due to the severity of the collision, the road closure is expected to remain in place for some time. Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes and to follow diversions where provided.

A Spokesman for National Highways said:
The A21 in East Sussex is closed in both directions between the A2100 Johns Cross Roundabout and the A28 at Baldslow due to a serious collision.
Sussex Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service are attending the scene.
There is no official diversion route for this section of the A21. Traffic is being diverted off of the A21 on to local roads by police.
