The A27 is closed in both directions between the A284 near Arundel and the A29 near Bognor Regis following a serious road traffic collision. Emergency services, including Sussex Police, are at the scene.
Diversion Routes
Motorists are advised to follow diversion symbols displayed on road signs to navigate around the closure:
Eastbound Traffic:
- Follow the hollow Triangle diversion symbol.
- Exit the Ford Road/Arundel bypass roundabout and take the A284 northwest towards the B2139/A29 roundabout junction.
- From there, exit onto the A29 and travel southwest towards Fontwell roundabout, where you can rejoin the A27.
Westbound Traffic:
- Follow the hollow Diamond diversion symbol.
- Exit the A27 at the Fontwell roundabout and take the A29 northeast towards the B2139 roundabout.
- Follow the reverse of the westbound route to return to the A27 at the Arundel bypass roundabout.
