Police are appealing for witnesses after a man in his 20s was found with multiple head injuries in a suspected serious assault near Tunbridge Wells.
The victim was discovered by a member of the public in a confused and distressed state on a footpath in Rusthall, near woodland leading from Rusthall Road and close to the cricket pitch. The incident occurred on the evening of Thursday, 23 January 2025, between 7:00pm and 8:30pm.
The man was immediately taken to hospital, where he is being treated for multiple cuts and a bleed to the brain. Although his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, he remains in hospital under medical care.
Detective Constable Nell Shortis stated, “We believe the victim was assaulted during the specified time window, and we are working to establish the full circumstances. It is crucial to our investigation that we speak to anyone who may have been in the area during this time or who may have seen or heard anything suspicious.”
