A second individual has been charged in connection with the murder of Robert Robinson, a 21-year-old man who was fatally stabbed on Carteret Way late on June 6.
Dalziell Wedderburn, 44, of Windlass Place in Deptford, was initially charged with Robinson’s murder on June 9. Now, an 18-year-old man, Kirk Harris, of Upper Brockley Road in New Cross, has also been charged with the murder. Harris is scheduled to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court today.
A third man, aged 50, was arrested at the scene and has been bailed to a date in early September.
Police were called to Carteret Way at 10:35 PM on June 6 following reports of a stabbing. Emergency services attended the scene, but despite their best efforts, Robert Robinson succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post-mortem examination conducted on June 8 revealed that the cause of death was multiple incised wounds. Robinson’s family has been informed of his tragic death.
