Police have made a second arrest following reports of a rape and assault near the One Stop Shopping Centre on Saturday, 18 January.
Officers were called to Walsall Road at approximately 1:50 am after a woman reported being attacked. Shortly thereafter, another report was received regarding an assault on a different woman on Aldridge Road, near Holford Drive.
Arrests Made
This afternoon, a 21-year-old man was arrested at an address in the Birmingham area on suspicion of rape. He remains in custody as investigations continue.
Yesterday, a 22-year-old man was arrested in connection with the same incident but has since been released on police bail.
Police are maintaining an open mind as to whether the two incidents are linked.
