As the search for missing 24-year-old Leah Daley enters its ninth day, efforts to locate her have intensified, with an organized group search set to take place this morning.
Leah Daley was last seen on CCTV footage on May 5th, 2024, in Folkestone, Kent. Concerns for her safety have grown since her disappearance, prompting community-led initiatives to aid in the search.
According to a Facebook Page titled ‘Leah’s Search’, an organised group search is scheduled to commence at 10 am this morning. The meeting point is designated as the Martello Tower, located at the top of the road leading down into Warren.
Participants are urged to wear appropriate clothing and footwear for their safety, as challenging weather conditions, including a high chance of rain between 10 am and 1 pm, are expected today. Organizers have assured that maps will be provided to aid in the search efforts.
The Facebook page admin stated, “Please remember to bring water. We will meet & discuss the plan at 10 am, then split up into smaller groups. I will create a WhatsApp group later today for just the people coming to help look tomorrow morning so that we can all keep in touch throughout with any updates.”
According to updates shared on the Facebook group, Leah was last seen on Sunday, May 5th, at 7 pm at the entrance to the first apron at The Warren.
Despite extensive search efforts, including searches conducted by local authorities and community volunteers, Leah has not been located. Kent Police have been actively involved in the investigation and urge anyone with information to contact them immediately on 999, quoting reference 06-1197.
Members of the community have also rallied together, with our own team conducting searches yesterday from the East Cliff Pavilion, yet no sightings have been reported.
The search for Leah Daley continues, and the community remains united in their efforts to bring her home safely.
