Search continues for missing Adventure staff worker on the Isle of Wight

The major search operation for missing Rosie Johnson continues on the Isle of Wight today (Wednesday) as Police face questions on why it was so long given the facts and then serious and concerns raised for the 22-year-old’s welfare. Rosie, who comes from Glasgow, hasn’t been seen in over 60 hours. She left PGL’s Little Canada Activity Centre on New Road in Wootton on Sunday evening saying in a drunk state she was going to the beach. Police put out an appeal mid morning on Tuesday and have been joined by the UK Coastguard, WightSAR, Ryde Rescue and the National Police Air Service helicopter in the search thus far.   Police have been carrying out search of near by properties whilst coastguard teams have been checking house boats and wooded area surrounding the last know location of Rosie picked up by her phone.   A pair of wellington boots were found in the nearby Lakeside hotel in bog. It’s is understood to be the new location that search teams will comb. Further resources will be on the ground again today in a bid to locate the missing activities instructor. Mainland specialists from Hampshire SAR have been deployed from to assist colleagues from Isle of Wight Search and Rescue. A drone was deployed south towards Wootton Creek and Firestone Copse In an attempt to locate Rosie. Co workers also spent the evening out in Firestone copse searching the area. Rosie parent have also arrived on the Island. Police are understood to have questioned Rosie partner further in an attempt to help assist with locating Rosie. More to follow
