Russell Brand, the well-known comedian and actor, is facing fresh allegations related to his treatment of women, just days after being accused of rape, sexual assaults, and emotional abuse by four women.
These new allegations come from several women who claim to have experienced sexual assaults.
These claims emerged after an investigation conducted by The Times, The Sunday Times, and Channel 4 Dispatches.
Russell Brand has vehemently denied all the allegations made against him and, in a video posted online, stated that all his relationships have been consensual. However, the accusations have prompted further investigations by several parties involved with Brand during the alleged incidents.
The Metropolitan Police have responded to these allegations, urging victims of sexual assault to come forward but noting that, as of now, they have not received any reports in relation to these claims.
Both the BBC and Channel 4 have taken action in response to the allegations. The BBC has stated that it is “urgently looking into the issues raised” during Brand’s tenure with BBC radio programs from 2006 to 2008. Meanwhile, Channel 4 has initiated “its own internal investigation” in the wake of these serious allegations.
