A serious two-car collision has closed a stretch of the A259 in both directions this afternoon, prompting a significant emergency response.
The crash occurred shortly before 3:50pm today (Saturday, April 12) near Tickner’s Lane in Brenzett, Kent. Police, paramedics and air ambulance crews were quickly dispatched to the scene.
The A259 is currently shut between the A2070 junction and Eighteen Acre Lane to allow accident investigation work to take place. Motorists are being urged to avoid the area and seek alternative routes as delays are expected to continue into the evening.
The condition of those involved has not yet been confirmed. Emergency services remain at the scene and updates are expected as investigations progress.
A spokesperson for Kent Police confirmed: “We were called at 3.50pm on Saturday 12 April following reports of a collision involving two cars on the A259 near Tickner’s Lane in Brenzett. Officers, along with ambulance and air ambulance crews, are in attendance. The road has been closed in both directions while the incident is dealt with.”
