The Royal Air Force’s iconic Red Arrows display team has confirmed its official 2025 schedule, featuring two highly anticipated appearances over London skies.
The elite aerobatic team will take part in a special flypast over the capital on May 5 as part of VE Day 80 commemorations, and again on June 14 for HM The King’s Official Birthday Flypast.
The 2025 calendar will see the Red Arrows perform across the UK and overseas, including appearances at the Midlands Air Festival, Royal International Air Tattoo, Blackpool Airshow, and several international events such as International Sanicole Airshow in Belgium and Festival Aéreo AIRE 24 in Murcia, Spain.
London Dates Confirmed:
- May 5, 2025 – VE Day 80 Flypast
- June 14, 2025 – HM The King’s Official Birthday Flypast
The VE Day 80 celebration will be a centrepiece national event, marking 80 years since the end of the Second World War in Europe. The Red Arrows flypast will follow a military procession from Whitehall to Buckingham Palace, launching a four-day commemoration. Communities across the UK are being encouraged to host street parties and join in the celebrations.
Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy said:
"The 80th anniversaries of VE and VJ Day are important opportunities for communities to come together to pay tribute to all those who served in the Second World War and to reflect on the values that they were fighting for.
By taking part in these significant commemorations, people across society will be able to hear our veterans’ stories first hand, to reflect and remember, and ensure that their stories of sacrifice and service are remembered for generations to come."
Further details about the King’s Birthday Flypast are expected to be announced in the coming months.
The RAF noted that the released schedule is for aerobatic displays, unless otherwise stated, and that more events may be added. All dates are subject to change.
