A man has been arrested and charged after police seized a Rambo-style knife, drugs, and cash following a car pursuit in Tunbridge Wells.
The incident unfolded on Friday, 16 May 2025, when officers from the Neighbourhood Task Force began following a suspicious Ford C-Max spotted in the town centre.
The vehicle was brought to a halt by patrols in Grosvenor Park, where the driver was detained. A subsequent search uncovered a large Rambo-style knife, a metal baseball bat, a significant quantity of cannabis, and £120 in cash.
The suspect, Sam Walker, aged 22, was taken into custody and later formally charged.
Walker faces the following charges:
- Possession of a knife in a public place
- Possession of an offensive weapon
- Possession of drugs with intent to supply
- Failing to stop a motor vehicle when required by a police officer
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 19 May.
The arrest follows ongoing efforts by Kent Police to crack down on weapons and drug-related crime in the Tunbridge Wells area.
