Portsmouth Dragon Boat Festival
This years Portsmouth Dragon Boat Festival is being held on Sunday 15th May 2016 at Lakeside North Harbour, Cosham. Are you looking for a fun-filled family friendly challenge? Organizers are looking for some crazy fancy dress teams to take part in this years Portsmouth Dragon Boat Festival to raise awareness and funds for Hampshire Homes for Veterans. Teams consist of 16 rowers, a drummer and three reserves. There will be a series of heats over a course of approx. 250 metres and the fastest teams will compete in semi-finals and a final. Team members must be able to swim 50 metres We are asking each team member to raise a minimum of £50 each in sponsorship which will help raise vital funds to support more homeless veterans in Hampshire. If so please get in touch with us! smile emoticon Awards will be made to the first three teams, and the best fancy dress entry. The first race will start approx 10.00 a.m. and prize giving will be at approx. 4.00 p.m. Fun for all the family as there will be plenty of other attractions on site including refreshments. Parking available on site for a small donation of £3 car.
