The British Transport Police (BTP) are appealing for public assistance in an investigation concerning a potentially dangerous incident on a train in Preston.
On July 27, 2024, at approximately 3.20am, an unidentified individual managed to enter the driver’s cabin of a stationary train and began manipulating various controls. The incident, which took place at Preston station, has raised significant safety concerns and prompted an urgent investigation by the authorities.
Incident Details
According to the BTP, the suspect entered the train’s driver cabin and tampered with several controls, posing a severe risk to the train’s operational integrity and the safety of future passengers. Fortunately, no passengers were on the train at the time of the incident, and there were no immediate injuries reported.
