Police investigating the tragic murder of Amy Rose Wilson, 27, have successfully recovered the car involved in the fatal chase that resulted in her untimely death. The incident occurred when the silver Vauxhall Vectra she was driving collided with a black Volkswagen Tiguan on New Carron Road, Falkirk, at approximately 18:10 on Saturday.
Prior to the collision, Ms. Wilson had engaged in a confrontation with the occupants of a black Mercedes, which subsequently led to a dangerous car chase. The Mercedes C-Class involved in the chase has now been located, as confirmed by the police.
Tragically, Amy Rose Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision. A 22-year-old man, who was a passenger in her vehicle, was taken to the hospital for treatment and later released. He was subsequently arrested on an unrelated matter and has been released pending further inquiries. The driver of the Volkswagen, a 39-year-old man, sustained minor injuries in the incident.
Detective Chief Inspector Susan Balfour emphasised the importance of locating the occupants of the Mercedes and appealed for any information regarding the car’s whereabouts between 16:30 and 18:30 on the fateful Saturday. The vehicle was last seen in Glasgow, Cumbernauld, and Falkirk.
Det Ch Insp Balfour urged anyone who may have been in those areas during the mentioned timeframe to check their dash cam footage for any relevant information that could assist the investigation. She also requested anyone familiar with the vehicle or possessing knowledge related to it to come forward.
