A man in his 40s was taken to hospital after being assaulted on Burnside Avenue, Chingford, in an incident that occurred at approximately 4:50pm on Wednesday, 16 July 2025.
Emergency services, including officers from the Metropolitan Police and the London Ambulance Service, attended the scene following reports of an assault.
The victim was found with injuries and taken to hospital. Thankfully, his injuries have been assessed as not life-changing or life-threatening.
Suspect Fled in Vehicle
Police say the suspect fled the scene in a vehicle, which has not yet been located. The suspect remains outstanding, and officers have launched a formal investigation.
“An investigation has been launched and several lines of enquiry are ongoing,” a Met Police spokesperson confirmed.
No Arrests Made
At this stage, no arrests have been made.
Appeal for Witnesses
Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has dashcam or CCTV footage to come forward.
