Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at approximately 2.30 pm on Thursday, May 23, to Ratcliffe Lane, E14, following reports of a woman found deceased.
The woman believed to be in her early 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed, and her death is currently being treated as unexpected. An investigation is underway, and a post-mortem examination will be conducted in due course to determine the cause of death.
In connection with the incident, a second woman, aged in her mid-40s, was taken to the hospital. Authorities are awaiting an update on her condition. She has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said, “We were called at approximately 14:30 to reports of a woman found deceased at Ratcliffe Lane. Her death is being treated as unexpected, and a post-mortem examination will be held in due course. Another woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder, and enquiries are ongoing.”
The police cordoned off the area to conduct their investigation, and residents are advised to avoid the vicinity to allow for a thorough examination of the scene.
