Police are investigating a violent altercation in Petts Wood that left a man with a slash wound to his arm on Saturday night (March 22).
Emergency services were called to Station Square, near Petts Wood railway station, at around 10.15pm following reports of a fight involving a number of people.
Witnesses reported that commuters were evacuated from the station amid the disturbance, which sparked a large police presence in the area.
At the scene, officers and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service treated a man in his 30s for a slash injury to his arm. Fortunately, the injury was not deemed serious enough to require hospital treatment.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police confirmed:
“Police were called at around 10.15pm on Saturday (March 22) to reports of a fight involving a number of people in the vicinity of Station Square, Petts Wood.
Officers and London Ambulance Service attended.
A man, aged in his 30s, was treated at the scene for a slash injury to the arm – he did not require hospital treatment.
No arrests; enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.”
As the investigation continues, police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
