Police confirm Man Arrested on Suspicion of Arson After House Fire in Catford

A man in his 40s has been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life following a house fire in Stanstead Road, Catford early this morning.

 

Incident Details

Time & Date: 5:45 AM, Sunday, March 2, 2025
Location: Stanstead Road, Catford
Arrest: Man in his 40s, arrested on suspicion of arson
Injuries: No reported injuries

Emergency Response & Investigation

The London Fire Brigade (LFB) attended the scene to extinguish the fire.
Metropolitan Police officers arrested the suspect, who has since been taken to hospital under police supervision.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
